Three Seconds To Take The Last Shot....

With a government shutdown rising in the horizon in a couple of hours, people are trying to find someone to blame. Does the fault fall upon democrats or republicans, or both? Yet, a more appropriate  question should be asked; how is it that the game has come down to the final seconds on the clock? The question is answered simply with President Obama and his administration did not do what they should have done when they should have done it. I used the analogy to a game because that is exactly what they are doing, playing games with U.S. citizens lives. Many people will be affected by the shutdown, but the politicians who have their constituents lives in their hands will not be. They will still get paid, their lives will go on, but many government contractors, employees, and citizens who rely on government checks and assistance will be left in an unforgiving bind. Bills still have to be paid and the kids still have to eat. Back to the question of whose fault it is that a budget didn't get passed and why. The problem falls solely on the Obama administration and the fact that there were many chances to work on a budget and pass one before republicans took control of the government. I have heard that because of the deficit that Bush left behind, the Obama administration was not able to work on and pass a budget, but to me that is foolishness. Basically, that means he should have been working on a meaningful budget since his inauguration when he had a greater chance of passing one, and avoiding what now seems to be imminent. That's what he promised right? To work harder for the citizens of America? The federal deficit is in the trillions of dollars and has continuously grown to a point of abyss. Was there not a huge deficit when President Obama took control in 2008? Did President Obama not promise to reign in government spending? So, has President Obama contributed to the deficit since 2008? If he has, (which he most certainly has) then the fault certainly lies with him as well, and he does not get a pass for his recklessness. I am by no means an advocate for the republican party, I hate democrats and republicans all the same. Yet, it is the democrats who are the so-called champions for the middle and lower working class, yet they have shown no signs of this avowal. As Pac said, "Although it seems heaven sent we ain't ready to have a Black President". Why, because as Black people we are not willing to be objective to the facts......
