No Event is Ever Correctly Reported in a Newspaper......

My blog is an educational tool. I understand everyone will not agree with my views or with the views in the articles I post or write, and that is okay. I have always maintained that this blog is a source of objectiveness and on my part subjectiveness. It is part realism, idealism, and dogmatism, and at times judgmental. I have tried to keep many points of chastisement directed towards those who are deserving, although I must admit at times innocent people step into the line of fire by debating. My views of admonishment are always aimed at the people who claim to speak and fight for us, yet more often than not they have completely failed us. Recently I have posted a variation of news articles ranging from the wars on terrorism, what was the looming government shutdown, civil unrest in Africa and the Middle East, the radiation threat from Japan, and self-sufficiency just to name a few. Media outlets often construe news to their best interests, which usually are the best interests of corporate, plutarchy, conglomerations. There is a definite need for a different take on the news when certain news outlets have been known to provide the masses with dubious lies and false information, yet, they are allowed to continuously spread thought altering propaganda. For example, from the onset of the radiation threat from Japan, the news outlets covered it very nonchalantly, downplaying the severity of the situation, whilst radioactive particles were covering the whole of the U.S. Now the plant is at a level 7 threat, the same as Chernobyl and the highest threat level. Or, claiming that Libyan civilians were being slaughtered by Col. Ghadaffi, however, these so-called civilians are armed rebels funded by the U.S. government to overthrow their government. When has the U.S. ever considered armed rebels innocent civilians in need of help? As well as reporting on the Somali people as savages who take control of sea vessels and kidnap and kill innocent people. Yet, the Somalis' were forced into piracy because of desperation and a lack of accountability and investigation due to the illegal dumping of toxic waste in their seas by European countries. I have to constantly remind people that my blog is a source of information that you may not come across, it is an alternative take on issues around the world. Whether you agree or not, I think we must keep an open mind and always remember that there are often two sides to every story, sometimes there are three or four sides. As the legendary writer George Orwell iterated, “Early in life I had noticed that no event is ever correctly reported in a newspaper.” In the technological age, this statement must be applied to mainstream television and internet news outlets alike. I think it is always best to listen to and read contrary views as far as the news is concerned and decide what you feel is correct, therefore you make an opinion based upon your coherent thoughts, rather than flipping the coin and it always lands on heads. Many media outlets have the Harvey "Twoface" coin, that will always fall in their masters' favor.
